The Big Bird Leg socks are finished! While knitting these up, I was getting a little frustrated since I was having such a hard time matching the stripes. I finally decided to just finish them, and move onto another pair. So many socks to knit, so little time! I was thinking about the whole stripe matching thing when I had a moment of insight -- I also had trouble matching up the stripes on the First Ever socks, too, but the others I was able to match no problem. Then it hit me...all the other pairs of socks were done with one 100g ball of yarn, whereas these were done with two separate 50g balls. I think that makes the difference. There must just be the slightest difference in the balls to throw off the stripes. At least that's my theory for the moment. I'll have to try it out some more and see. I have a feeling, though, it's going to make me prefer 100g gram balls in the future, although I have to admit I kind of do already.
