After a week out of town for a visit with family, then last week and most of this week spent recovering from everyone in the house getting sick, I'm finally back to posting. I was hoping to have more sock progress than I do, but a lot of what I was experimenting with ended up being ripped. First I tried a cable design with some Hello Yarn. Loved the yarn, loved the design...just didn't love them together. Rip. Then I tried some of the patterns from Knitting on the Road. I got to the heel of a Conway before I was able to admit to myself the sock wouldn't fit right. Rip. Thus, here I am, back at the plain old sock pattern with striping yarn until I can match up a pattern with a yarn I like. These are what I'm calling the Big Bird Leg socks. The yarn totally reminds me of Big Bird's legs...the stripes, the colors, I don't know, call me crazy.
