well, meredith, you my destroy produce but never a photo :-) there! doesn't that inspire you to plant that garden?! it's muggy here, too. i'll take it over cold any day, though.

Gardening is a life-long learning process full of surprises! Just keep perservering with a sense of humor - especially when your children pull off all the tops of the carrots and the carrots haven't budged from the ground. Trips to the farmer's market become much more appreciated.

When I was about 7, I lived in Delaware. Our neighbor, Miss Lee, would grow strawberries in a very small garden patch. She would let me water them, and I loved watching them grow. The best part, of course, was when the strawberries were ready for picking - she'd let me eat as many as I wanted... Maybe I'll try growing strawberries this year...
