I've been thinking a lot about my photography lately, about what it is I'm doing with it, what I'm trying to achieve. I think it comes down to the difference between being a picture taker and a picture maker. The best I can do is explain it in this way...if I wanted to show you a flower in my yard, I could invite you over to see the flower for yourself. Taking what is there and simply showing it to you...it is what it is. But it's through the lens that I can show you what I see, what I feel, what I interpret, when I look at that flower. Documenting my life through my filter of experiences and emotions...it's both the challenge and the thrill.
