I can tell already that this winter is going to be brutal. Yesterday morning when I woke up and checked the weather, it was in the single digits. As I’m getting older, I’m starting to notice that I can’t just skate by with skincare like I did when I was younger…guess I’m drying out with age. :) I used to wear chapstick and lotion more for glam than for good, but now I notice that my skin is just a lot dryer and I need that stuff to keep me hydrated and looking decent, especially now that the temperatures have dropped and it seems that the wind is constantly blowing at gale forces. Plus as part of my 33 in 33 list, I was on the hunt to try a new lip balm.
I had passed by these cute little EOS balm balls in the checkout line at Target several times before, and finally decided to pick one up and give it a try. I was drawn in first by the packaging (of course…Husband always says I’m a sucker for packaging and he’s totally right), and then I noticed that it’s organic and was pretty happy about that. I got the Strawberry Sorbet one, but they have tons of flavors, even a limited edition Alice in Wonderland pack! I’ve been using it for awhile now and here’s what I’ve discovered:
Pros:
Cons:
The verdict? Would I buy it again? Probably not. For me, the delivery method is better on this than the actual product. At $2.99 for .25 oz. I’ll save my money and try to find something else I really love.
So, any recommendations out there? What lip and skincare products do you use, especially in the winter, to stay soft and looking fabulous?

Leave a CommentI agree with everything you said. I’ve always had dry skin but it’s horrible the older I get! I hate it and am constantly looking for a better solution than what I’m currently using.
I’ve tried the eos balms before and agree with your pros and cons. I went straight back to my Burt’s Bees after trying this.
If you come up with a miracle solution though, let me know! ;-D
